About this Quiz
DC Comics, one of the largest and oldest American comic book companies, was founded in 1934 by Malcolm Wheeler-Nicholson, Harry Donenfeld, and Jack Liebowitz. Originally known as National Allied Publications, the company published its first comic book, 'New Fun: The Big Comic Magazine', in 1935. The company later became known as DC Comics, named after its popular series Detective Comics, which introduced the world to the iconic superhero, Batman. DC Comics has introduced many firsts in the comic book industry. It published the first comic book to sell over a million copies, 'Superman #1', and the first comic book series to reach 100 issues, 'Action Comics'. It also introduced the first superhero, Superman, created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster. Over the years, DC Comics has expanded its universe with a diverse range of superheroes, villains, and teams, making it a significant part of pop culture history.
