About this Quiz

The universe is filled with countless celestial bodies, many of which are rocks that wander through the vast expanse of space. These rocks, known as asteroids, meteoroids, and meteorites, play a crucial role in our understanding of the universe. They are remnants from the early solar system, providing us with a glimpse into the past and helping us understand the formation and evolution of our own planet. Asteroids are rocky bodies that orbit the sun, mostly found in the asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter. Meteoroids are significantly smaller than asteroids and are usually fragments of asteroids or comets. When these meteoroids enter the Earth's atmosphere and vaporize, they create a beautiful phenomenon known as a shooting star. However, if they survive their journey through the atmosphere and hit the Earth's surface, they are then classified as meteorites. These celestial rocks vary in size, composition, and origin, offering a wealth of information to scientists across the globe.
